Urbaniza is a group of affiliated companies providing a variety of services for the real estate industry. These include: real estate brokerage, project finance, design, construction and asset management. We specialize in combining public and private sources of funding to enhance value for distressed assets.

Since 1991 we have provided exceptional services to public and private sector clients. Founded as an urban design and community development firm, the company evolved into providing real estate brokerage services and project finance advisory for property investment in emerging market areas.

Our construction and development capability linked to our knowledge of public sector funding enables us to combine resources which add significance to our asset management.

The company has experienced the highs and lows of market volatility while never losing focus on its core business of enhancing value for properties.

We combine expertise in brokerage, finance, design, construction and asset management. This multi-disciplinary approach to real estate allows us to create unique innovative solutions to problems of property ownership today.

Throughout the decade spent working on Wall Street at financial services firms such as Bear Stearns and Aegis Capital Group, founder Gladys Margarita Diaz never lost sight of her goals as as an architect and urban designer. She envisioned a future that included creating projects where she identified the financing to achieve her goals.

Broker Ray Jourdain came to the company with marketing expertise and excellent customer service tradition. At the turn of the millenium, he established UrbaniZa Realty as a specialist in distressed property (foreclosure and REO) investment.

The 2008 economic crisis called for a solution to the problems of distressed assets: S.A.S.S.I. - Special Asset Support Services, Inc. Founded in early 2009, the company provides asset management services to the financial services industry and is an authorized developer for the Federal Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP).
